Fit Rods
Before order your curtain, use a stud finder to check for wiring and pipework so that to determine the right height of your rod.
Mark the height of the rod. use a laser level to make sure your marks are even.
Mark bracket positions on wall to make sure the rod is on the marked height. Add a mid brace if needed. Pole brackets should be fixed so there is room for at least one ring (or eyelet/tab) between the outside edge of the bracket and the finial. About 5cm (2”) is usually about right for rings. If there is a centre bracket, this must be fixed at the centre of the pole.
Create pilot holes(0.32 cm) by tapping a screw with a hammer or using a drill bit.
Screw the brackets into the pilot holes with a screwdriver(or use a carbide drill to drill pilot holes in concrete, stone, brick, or tile. Hold the drill so the bit is at a 90° angle to the wall, and drill the pilot holes each 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep).
Fit the rod onto the brackets and then use a carpenter’s level to make sure that the rod is even.
Put the curtains on.
