How to fit Tracks
The guide is to provide guidance on installation. It is not inclusive of all scenarios. The whole instruction should include your track or rod package.
Tools you will need:
Drill
Screwdriver
Stud finder
Level
Tape measure
Pencil
Before order your curtain, use a stud finder to check for wiring and pipework so that to determine the right height of your track.
Wall Fitting
Mark the height and length of the track. Make marks of the horizontal fixing positions with a center mark and ends mark. Use a laser level to make sure your marks are even.
Mark brackets positions on wall. Use a pencil to mark the bracket fixing hole positions on the wall.
Create pilot holes(0.32 cm) by tapping a screw with a hammer or using a drill bit.
Screw the brackets into the pilot holes with a screwdriver(or use a carbide drill to drill pilot holes in concrete, stone, brick, or tile. Hold the drill so the bit is at a 90° angle to the wall, and drill the pilot holes each 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep).
Mark a point of track center.
Fit the track onto the brackets. Check if track center fit center mark. Then use a carpenter’s level to make sure that the track is even.
Put the curtains on.
Ceiling Fitting
Mark the length of the track. Mark the ends and center of the fixing position(a space at least 6cm between wall).
Mark brackets positions on ceiling along the fixing position marks(at least 6cm between bracket and wall). Use a pencil to mark the bracket fixing hole positions on the ceiling.
